We love to welcome Corporate volunteers to the Sanctuary for the day. It is fantastic for us when companies and employees are willing to give us their time to help us with the projects that we find so hard to complete in the normal working week. Having extra enthusiastic hands on site is such a welcome help to both staff and volunteers. The days are also hugely popular among staff as they are working with their colleagues in a completely different atmosphere and surroundings and the pride and joy that they take home at the end of the day is wonderful to see. Many companies send a group annually and some a few groups throughout the year. It is a wonderful team building exercise for everyone.
The variety of the days is what attracts the corporates. They can be doing anything and everything from poo picking, mowing and strimming, painting and building, lifting and shifting, clearing and tidying – all jobs that ensure the upkeep of the sanctuary. At the end of their day, they are treated to a lovely tour of the horses where they get to spend some close up and personal time with the horses. Not a bad days pay for a good day at the office!!!
To date we’ve had volunteers from companies such as Allianz, Sita, Surrey University, Foresters and many more. If you or your company would like to volunteer a day such as this, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for available dates and enjoy a day at the office like never before.
