Family Fun Day – Sunday 19th August 2018
This year, we are hosting our Summer Family Fun Day on Sunday 19th August, running from 12 noon – 5pm at the Sanctuary.
There will be an opportunity to meet our horses, ride on a tractor, go on a nature trail or have your face painted! Alternatively visit one of the many stalls selling crafts, homemade cakes and jams and much more, or maybe try your luck at the adult and children tombola stalls. Further entertainment will be provided by singers Mojoduo, the Chainsaw Woodman Jack Skylark, who will be carving and raffling a new one-off sculpture and Roberto and John, the Apple Pressers, who will encourage hands-on experience to get a glass of juice from the orchard. There will even be a Dog Agility event, where you can enjoy watching the professionals demonstrate how to do it, or you can have a go yourself with your dog too – and we offer a doggy creche facility for when you wish to wander round the horses! The popular Mane Chance BBQ, which is always a hit with visitors, will be again be serving delicious hot food throughout the day.
We are also privileged to welcome a team from The War Horse Memorial and they will be selling the new purple poppy badges and other merchandise ahead of the official launch of National Purple Poppy Day on August 23rd, a designated day to honour all animals killed in conflict – we are thrilled to have them with us.
It looks set to be a wonderful, family day full of fun hosted by Jenny and with our horses as the stars of the show.
Tickets on the gate cost £6 for adults, £5 for children (5-15 years) and seniors (over 60 years) and family tickets are available at £15 for two adults and two children. Children under 5 (and dogs!) enter free. Discounted tickets are available in advance by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org with your order. Alternatively, please call us on 01483 351526.
We hope to see you at the Sanctuary and fingers crossed for good weather – but not too hot please!
