Rotary Walk

Fancy a walk and raise funds for Mane Chance at the same time? Sunday May 14th 2017 will see the Annual Charity Walk take place again with a route planned and marked out by the Rotary Club of Guildford District. This year there will be two walks, one of 10k and a new 5k walk, both starting from Shalford Park.

In honour of Bob, our stalwart volunteer who turns 80 this year and has participated for the last few years, we are forming the Mane Chance 80 legs team. As there are two distances to walk this year, all the family can take part and dogs on leads are particularly welcome. The entry is free, all you have to do is get some sponsorship together and be a part of our team. To join our team and be at least 2 of our 80 legs, just email and we will send you on all the details and sponsorship forms. If you can’t participate, please support the team by sponsoring them at Every penny counts!

Registration on the day starts at 8.15 and the walk starts at 9.45. There will be Check Points along the way where you can get a drink, and also there will be Medical services provided as well as burgers, rolls and beverages available before the event starts. An ice cream van will also be there to help you to cool off at the end on what, hopefully, will be a glorious Spring day.
