AQA unit awards are a nationally recognised achievement. By writing our own units relating to the care of our animals and their home, we will be able to invite our community students to work towards the awards as part of their sessions with us.
At Mane Chance, we always like to celebrate achievement, however large or small. Whether it is the progress of one of our horses or one of our students, each step of progress can be a milestone for the individual. Whilst they are not a formal qualification, AQA unit awards allow a participant to work towards an acheivable goal - and then be awarded a certificate to recognise reaching the target.
Over the past few months, our team have been writing units relating to horse, chicken and dog care, site maintenance but also how to relax and work calmly with the animals, learning self-kindness along the way - all the things that we promote during our sessions.
We look forward to being able to introduce our own bespoke programme in the Autumn - find out more here.!
Why not come and join our wonderful team of volunteers?
We can offer a range of opportunities for groups of young volunteers.
Come and be a groom for the day for our smallest residents.
