Emergency Hay Appeal

The perfect storm of rising diesel prices plus the ongoing drought meaning this years hay yield will be less than usual, has resulted in the price of hay sky rocketing. We are seeing bales retailing at £6.75 a bale and rising... We are now looking at the probability of feeding our 37 rescue horses hay all Summer as well as the Winter as we watch our normally green fields dry up and turn brown before our eyes. A local farmer has offered us a very competitive price of £5 per bale but this is more than we usually pay and the extra Summer months are adding to our running costs at a very difficult time. This is a terribly challenging time for so many people in this country but we have no choice but to go out and ask for help - however little, each penny will make a difference!!!

We would be immensely grateful if you could spare anything to help us meet the cost of the hay - however much that is, we would be so appreciative.

To all of you that have donated - thank you.  Please feel very proud that you have contributed to ensuring that our rescue horses will have a full belly over the next year!

If you can help, please click here to visit our Just Giving Page to buy our horses some hay!

Thank you for anything you can give!
