Mane Chance Sanctuary. Transforming Lives Together.
At 10 o clock on the morning of New Year's day, we opened the gates to welcome people to the site for a stroll around our Sanctuary - meeting the horses and blowing away the cobwebs of the Christmas excesses! A quiz and fun facts placed around the route with lots of information about our Sanctuary and the horses kept people entertained along the way (and lots of little people didn't even notice that they had walked over 1.5 miles!)
We had a wonderful turnout and the atmosphere was lovely - cheerful and enthusiastic as we all welcome in 2020! From the early birds that were with us as the gates opened to those who came for a walk after a leisurely start to their day, we were thrilled to see friends of the Sanctuary and to meet lots of new faces too. The barn was alive with chatter and the hot sarnies, mulled wine and hot drinks went down a treat.
A huge thank you to all of our team (staff and volunteers) that worked hard to make the day a success and an even bigger thank you to all that came to support us and take part!
