Rev Lynne Chitty has been on our supporter database for a long while now. She lives in Devon but keeps in touch with all the happenings at the Sanctuary and is a great ambassador for the work that we are doing with both the horses and the humans!
Lynne ran the Royal Parks Half Marathon for us in October 2019, travelling to London on an overnight coach to get to the start on time at 09:00am! After pounding the streets for 13 miles, she then travelled home the same day for a very well-deserved rest.
Since then, Lynne has pledged to raise money for 13 trees at the Sanctuary as part of our 'Celebrate with a Tree' programme - one tree for every mile of the half marathon that she ran!
But in addition to that, Lynne is spreading the word about what we do at Mane Chance in her circle of friends and colleagues - already that has generated additional donations and support from people that we simply wouldn't have reached otherwise.
You don't have to live in Surrey to support Mane Chance - we also hope we can share our story and our aims to a wider geographical area - and Lynne proves that this is definitely possible!
Thank you Lynne for all your support of Mane Chance - we do appreciate it.
Why not come and join our wonderful team of volunteers?
We can offer a range of opportunities for groups of young volunteers.
Come and be a groom for the day for our smallest residents.
