Our Sanctuary Club
Are you between 11 and 15 years old?
Would you like to learn more about horse welfare and understand more about our methods of rehabilitating rescued horses? Whilst also having a lot of fun along the way?
Then our Sanctuary Club is for you - come and join us!
Each course consists of six sessions run fortnightly during term time or during school holidays.
Over the six sessions, you will have the opportunity to have hands-on experience and get to know our herds. We will be covering topics such as herd behaviour and body language, the five domains and how to do a general health check, along with many other aspects of horse welfare. We don't ride our horses at Mane Chance - instead you will form relationships by working with them on their level!
Running alongside this, we will also be taking part in projects that focus on the natural environment in order to encourage more wildlife and bio-diversity onto the site.
This is a wonderful way to not only learn about what we do, but to contribute to looking after our horses that have gone through so much in the past - you will be part of their care and helping them to trust people again.
More importantly, you will have a lot of fun doing it!
Courses of sessions must be booked and paid for in advance - the fee covers the six dates listed.
The cost of each set of 6 sessions is £150 per child (working out at £25 per session).
