Millie

Year of birth 2008
Height 14.2 hh
Date arrived at Mane Chance 2014
Gender Mare
Description in one word Sensitive
Equine best friend: Tilly

Millie came to us with Horus from Happy Endings Sanctuary who had rescued them both from the most appalling conditions. She had seen a lot of neglect and suffering and had huge emotional scars.  She had to fight for food in her previous situation, had brought with her a huge anxiety and was initially an aggressive horse when food was around until she learnt that she no longer had to worry about where the next meal was coming from at Mane Chance.  She also has an old hip injury that sometimes troubles her which can mean she can be a little unpredictable but underneath all that, there is a truly special horse in Millie - she can reveal a kind and sensitive mare who wishes to engage with us – and we have all the patience she needs to make that happen.
