Mr Smith is one of the original horses that Jenny took on when Mane Chance was founded.  He is a miniature Shetland and was rescued from a dealer’s yard. He has one blue eye and one brown eye which is always a talking point with visitors and gives him a cheeky glint!  Mr Smith is a hugely kind horse and he gives time and patience to any new arrival – once he has made it clear that he is still a senior member of the herd to be respected though!  He used to be the leader of the Shetland group, but was getting a little tired of this protector role and he has recently taken the chance to hand the leader baton to Grimbo.  Mr Smith is always a favourite with our visitors as his kindness and gentleness extends to humans too.  He has a wonderful personality with a warmth and generosity that knows no bounds. We know that the horse human connection can be so rewarding and he shows us that time and time again.  He is such a good ambassador for our charity and we are terribly proud of him!
