Description in one word Bossy
Equine best friend: Dinky

Dolly arrived at Mane Chance after her owner needed to find a new home for her following a change in loan home circumstances.  Her owner lived in France and Dolly, at the age of 27 was too old to travel – she needed somewhere in England where she could live the rest of her life in safety and comfort.
Dolly is a sociable, sweet-natured horse who has always had a lot of human contact, and it was important for her to be somewhere where she could rest, but at the same time, still be with people.  Mane Chance seemed to be the perfect fit – she could live in a herd with other horses as companions, whilst helping us with our community work – keeping the human connection.
Dolly fitted in very quickly but that have something to do with the fact that she is really very bossy!  She made it clear to the others that she didn’t take any nonsense from anyone and they soon understood their place - it is very funny to watch!  It doesn’t mean that she is not part of the group – she just is an older mare that knows what she likes – and what she doesn’t!  They respect her for that – as do we!
